Solidarity with District 3 AT&T Workers

Dear CWA Members, Retirees, and Supporters,

CWA members in District 3 are on strike against AT&T Southeast due to the company’s failure to engage in good faith bargaining.

Our bargaining committees have been working tirelessly, and the contract expired on August 3. Despite our best efforts, we have not been able to make significant progress toward reaching a fair contract.

We need to show AT&T that every single CWA member supports our AT&T Southeast members as they fight for the respect they deserve.

On Thursday August 22, CWA members across the country will hold up signs at work, standing if they are able, to show their solidarity. These demonstrations will take place at 10 am, 2 pm and 4 pm in your local time zone.

Please plan to join this action and post photos from your workplace on social media with the hashtags #ATTStrike and #CWAStrong.

You can download a sign to print at cwa.org/attsesign. Note that the sign is double-sided.

Thank you for your support.

In Unity,

Claude Cummings Jr., CWA President
Richard Honeycutt, CWA District 3 Vice President

Thomas Ham

Thomas Ham is a member of Inland Empire DSA, co-chair of the IE DSA Labor Working Group, and Executive Vice President of CWA Local 9588.
